Sweet emaciated momma and babies rescued Monday late night into Tuesday early morning from Batesville MS. She’s now resting comfortably with her babies in foster home. She seems young and is incredibly sweet and so very appreciative of the love being shown to her and her newborn babies. To think the fear she had trying to feed, keep warm and protect her little family with no shelter no food and the cold breaks my heart. We are so happy that she is safe and we commit to a better life for each of them. Still working on an appropriate name for her ♥️
Thank you to Audrey & Michelle for going out so late at night to get her and her babies to safety over night them and to Krysta & Monica for fostering this sweet young family. Rescue can’t be done alone - it’s a team effort and we have the best helpers ♥️

Last night around 10pm, I received a message from a rescue friend Cindy about a momma dog and her newborn puppies found by a landowner in the Batesville, MS area. She had just given birth out in the open, with no food, no water, no shelter literally in the middle of nowhere.
At first, someone local tried to help but was unable to secure them. Without hesitation, Audrey and Michelle, two of our incredible foster heroes, got in their cars close to midnight and each drove an hour and a half to save this family. They didn’t get home until around 3:30am but they got them safe.
Momma was beyond ready. She willingly climbed into the crate with her babies and rode calmly in the car, finally safe. She had seven puppies total, but heartbreakingly, one of the babies did not survive and had already passed when they arrived. Michelle worked tirelessly, trying to warm and revive that baby, giving everything she had. 💔
This morning, Audrey met up with Monica and Krysta, who opened their home to foster this little family so they can rest, recover, and begin again in safety. We’ll be sharing more photos and updates soon.
Sadly, this story is not unique.
This is the devastating cycle caused by irresponsible pet ownership failing to spay and neuter, dumping dogs, leaving emaciated mothers to give birth alone and afraid. There simply are not enough rescues to save them all. These dogs were lucky. So many aren’t found in time. They don’t survive. And those who do are often forced to repeat this nightmare over and over again litter after litter.
We have to stop this cycle.
Spay. Neuter. Educate. Care.

Meet Tango 💃🕺 | 8 lbs of personality in a tiny package!
Tango may only weigh 8 pounds, but his charm is off the charts. This little guy is curious, playful, and already perfecting his “pick me up and love me forever” pose. Just look at that face—he knows he’s cute.
