A few weeks ago, a kind-hearted independent rescuer came across a heartbreaking sight six tiny puppies, only about 3-4 weeks old, abandoned on the side of a rural road with no mother anywhere in sight.
She searched, she waited, but their mom never came. She knew she couldn’t leave them there.
She scooped up all six babies and got them to safety before reaching out for help.
When they arrived, they were in rough shape. They were covered in worms, underweight, and fighting just to survive. Despite everyone’s best efforts, two of the six precious babies sadly didn’t make it. 💔
The four remaining pups have been little fighters every single day.
Over the past two weeks they have:
🐾 Been dewormed twice
🥛 Been nourished with goat’s milk
🥣 Graduated to wet puppy food
💚 Started probiotics
Today they are approximately 5–6 weeks old, active, playful, eating well, and giving us so much hope for the future.
