Meet Chrome! He is such a handsome pup. Chrome is 9.5 weeks old and about 12lbs. We aren’t sure of breed mix but he looks like an Australian cattle dog mix maybe some lab. One of our litter of 6 orphans from Forrest City Humane in Arkansas they have been in rescue since they were only a couple days old. We received a message through Facebook from a friend of a previous Mississippi foster that these two pups were found alone in the woods near their home. They brought them home and were caring for them but asked if we could commit to them for vet care and placement. They are the cutest babies. We really hope that their siblings if any and their momma is ok - the couple said they looked and there was no other pups or other dog in the area 😞. Sadly it is not uncommon in the mid south for people to dump unwanted dogs in the woods to starve and fend for themselves, It’s heartbreaking:)
Lucky for these two babies they are safe - fed - dewormed and get their first vaccines tomorrow.
Every time our supporters donate to SNAR you enable us to say yes to dogs in need ( especially when the finder is committed to fostering !!!! )

Happy one year RESCUED Anniversary Toby! Toby came to us emaciated, defeated and sad he had been dumped on a rural Mississippi road and just laid there. Audrey picked him up and we committed to him. Then Erin and her wonderful family committed to a hospice foster situation but he came to life ! He is a happy old boy enjoying indoors, toys and a family with other dogs and kids and everything he’s always deserved and although he’s an old guy he’s so loved and joyful. He definitely has the signs of aging an older dog has but his heart is so happy and he shows his family every day and in every way. We are so happy we have been able to give him this time to enjoy for as long as he is living and loving. Rayne! Adorable, affectionate and playful Rayne. Shes such a beautiful young lab maybe shep mix. She enjoys cuddles but also has a blast playing outside. She’s chases a ball and runs and plays.
